Week 7: Fusion 360 Initials of Name

This 3D model was made by following the online tutorials given to us on the model.
As I do not have a middle name I used the last letter of my first name.

FUSION 360 ADDING MATERIAL EFFECTS ONTO 3D MODEL
I decided to use a matte black oxide coating with a red tint as the main texture. I liked the matte, chrome finish as it reflects the light nicely but also reflects both red and black.
I added small elements of enamel glossy paint to contrast the matte finish with glossy details.
I used polished stainless steel material to outline the letters 'S' and 'M' to make the letters stand out and therefore become more presentable.
The reason for choosing this colour palette as red reflects courage, passion and excitement. Being my first year for university I have a look of excitement towards learning and trying new things. The colour of red encapsulates both my readiness to take on new tasks and my fear of failing.
